Our annual general meeting took place in The Strand Bar on Wednesday evening the 3rd of June. The meeting was well attended with good representation from all sections.

Our annual youths awards ceremony was a huge success in the glasshouse hotel on sunday night last. There was was a great turnout with nearly 200 people in attendance. Well done to the glasshouse hotel for having the place looking so well.

The date for the clubs annual general meeting date has been set for Wednesday 3rd June at 8:30pm in The Strand Bar. We would encourgae all members, parents and other people who want to get involved in our club to come along and offer support.

Strand Celtic are currently considering the purchase of two premium tickets for the new Aviva stadium. This will guarantee the users tickets for all football games at the stadium and first call on the three concerst heald each year.

Our annual golf classic has been confirmed for friday august 21st 2009 from 10am until 5pm. All proceeds from this event go towards our development plan for our grounds.

At the clubs executive meeting last night it was announced that Clive Richardsons will commence work on the new astropark on the second week in June.

With a major announcement pending in the coming weeks on a partnership with one of europes leading club clubs it was announced that the first part of the new partnership will be a summer camp from July 27th to 31st July. Chairman Mick McEnroe has asked all parents planning to put their kids on a summer camp to hold for another few weeks with details to be announced of the first camp.

There has been a lot of activity off the pitch in recent weeks with the clubs development committee working with the parks trustees to progress a number of our projects.

The April development club draw was held at our last committee meeting. Many thanks to all who are currently in the draw. There are 53 people entered and we hope to increase this to 120 in order to pay the repayments on the loan alreadyin place for our clubhouse and new pitches.

Our under 12 squad are away at weekend athletic next weekend for four days. The annual tour organised by John Mcgovern will see our lads leave on Thursday night and return on Monday night. A full group of fifty two people are travelling.
