The club hosted a community evening on Friday night last as a thank you for everyone’s efforts towards our development plan. The evening was an outstanding success with a great atmosphere and a great turnout by all our coaches, managers and committe members.
The initial phases of the development plan have delivered two new pitches and a new clubhouse, which is expected to be completed by the end of September. These projects have cost over €350,000 and while some state funding has been forthcoming there has been a great effort put in by everyone in our community.
The next phase of the development plan will see the implementation of a multi-sports surface that will be available for football and tennis. A lottery grant has recently been allocated to the club for this purpose and the design will start in the early autumn.
In addition on Saturday night the club launched our new sponsors who have generously committed to signs at our new ground as part of two packages, a premium and associate package. The revenue from this venture is all going to the new development at our club. The club are very grateful to all our sponsors for their support. There were some excellent photographs taken on the night and these will be on our website strandceltic.com by next weekend.
The premium sign sponsors include The Strand Bar, Harmac Limited, Colfix, Sligo Glass, The Embassy and Frank McMorrow Transport .
The Associate sign sponsors include Bella Vista, Sligo City Gas, DBX Communications, Cosgroves Centra, Martin Reilly, Haffey, McPartland Oils, Premier Hygiene, BTW, JAKO, The Glasshouse Hotel, Bank Of Ireland, Agtec, Perfect Seal and Atlantic Bitumen. Additional signage opportunities are available and can be had by contacting any of our committee.
