Our Under 16 girls player, Emma Hansberry, was called into the Republic of Ireland U17 squad for a pre World Cup training camp in London at Arsenals training ground.

Noel King has called Emma in after she impressed in the training camp prior to the European Championships in which Ireland made it to the European final, only narrowly going down on penalties to a higly fancied Spainish team.

While this means Emma will unfortunately miss this weekends national cup semi-final against Saint Francis from Dublin, everyone at the club is delighted for Emma. The FAI refused a request from the club to postpone saturdays game given the late call up given to Emma.
