Strand Celtic held an Information Evening in the clubhouse on thursday night, January 28th, at 8:30pm. The purpose of the evening wass to inform all our parents and members of all the work undertaken in the club and our future plans including the provision of a playground.

The club now caters for over 350 members ranging from the ages of 4 through to 60 with sections including:

• Nippers - 4 to 6 years
• Colts - 6 to 10 years
• Soccer Sisters - Girls 6 to 10 years
• Youth Boys - 10 to 18
• Youth GIrls - 10 to 18
• Senior
• Mens Veterans
• Ladies Fun Soccer

Chairman Mick Mcenroe outlined the current position of the club and covered the wide range of club activities that are now being undertaken within the club. These included:

- Ground Development Plan
- Coaching Plan
- Fund Raising
- Social Committee
- Improving communications within the club
- Development of a new playground at the park
- Veterans Soccer
- Charity link
- Women’s Fun Soccer
- Futsal

The club would like to thank all of those who came along and who also volunteered to help within the club.
