ARROW HARPS 0 STRAND CELTIC 0
Riverstown
Strand Celtic U14 girls earned a well deserved draw in Riverstown this evening. Girls of the match Amber Ferry (U12 player) had the Arrow Harps centre forward in her pocket for the game and so cut out the Riverstown scoring machine.
Strand U14's needed the help of two U12 players in order to field a team for the game in Riverstown and the inclusion of Amber Ferry at centre half proved a major success. As a whole the back four of Siubheann Crowne, Nicole O'Boyle, Amber Ferry and Jade Kerrigan were superb on the night, fighting for every ball and cutting out any shots on our stand in keeper Beibheann Morrissey.
The midfield line out of Katie Monaghan, Shannon Dykes, Aoife Masterson & Ellie McCole found it hard to get by the strong Arrow Harps midfielders. Their touches let them down at times and allowed Arrow Harps to boot the ball right back at our derence.
Katie Melly & Claire Hanney playing up front had a few chances but none ever troubled the Arrow Harps goalkeeper.
