Community & Coaching

The club is committed to furthering the development of its players through coach education. The FAI development plan has set out a new programme for the development of coaches in the Republic Of Ireland. For details on the FAI coaching and development programme click here

It is important for players that they are trained by qualified coaches who have a good understanding of the basic components of coaching and of the game of soccer. The club is committed to supporting all coaches in achieving the necessary qualifications.

Some of the coaches in our colts section use the Coerver coaching method that places the emphasis on skill development and participation. There are a range of DVD's available to support our coaches. These can be purchased at www.coerver.com. Some of our coaches have already purchased some of the DVD's. This includes a range of courses for goalkeeping. The Coerver coaching method has been adopted by Arsenal and the French Federation.
