Ger O’Brien – Defender. Born: 2-July-1984.

Played with Athlone Town and Kildare County before joining Shamrock Rovers where he was voted club player of the year in 2007 by the Hoops’ supporters.

While at Rovers, Ger was selected on the Irish Under-23 team and collected his first international goal in the International challenge group game against Belgium in November 2008.

Spent the last two seasons at Derry City, experiencing UEFA Cup football, and agreed to join Fingal in December 2009.
