The U11 Division 1 team got back to winning ways with a great victory over St. Bernards. In the early stages of the match Colga had a lot of possession bt St. Bernards looked dangerous on the break with some speedy front players. The speed eventually resulted in a goal for St. Bernards but Colga fought back well for Liam Forde to equalise just before half time.

The second half started much better for Colga with a well marshalled defence providing the support for the team to push on. Possession eventually turned into a goal with Liam Forde finding the net for a second time with a beautifully crafted shot that curled in over the keeper. St. Bernards continued to cause problems on the breakaway with Shane Cosgrove rescuing the situtation with excellent covering back and tackling while Barra McMahon produced some great saves. An excellent move down the right by Matthew Costigan providing a cross for Liam Forde to get his third goal of the game and put some daylight between the teams.

However St. Bernards fought back at the end to grab a second goal after scrappy play in the box but Colga held on for a deserved win.
