UNDER 10s…….Skills in the Cold
By Sean McDonald @ 2:28 PM :: 14 Views :: Club News

Our Under 10 Team (in picture) played another round of matches on Sunday last in the Showgrounds.

The kids turned up in their numbers, 22 in total, and were not put off by the bitterly cold weather and strong winds. Instead, they were intent on playing football and did very well against some of the best teams around.

Matches were played against Strand Celtic, Merville and Ballisodare. In the end, the games were very close and the teams cancelled each other out.

Very well done to all the boys, who are showing great progress in their skills and good running off the ball. The games were organised by Cliffoney/Grange and many thanks to all who helped on the day, including referees John O’Connell, Mickey Rooney and Mike Healy, the coaches Carol McGowan and Alan Kelly, and the many supporters.

The final matches for 2008 are scheduled for 7th December in Strandhill.
