Our U18 girls made history when recording a historic victory over Yeats Utd on saturday afternoon last in the first ever gilrs U18 league final at Sligo Institute of technology.

In a close game our girls pulled away near the end. Lauren McGee had put Strand in front in the first half. Mid way through the second half Emma Hansberry added a second when firing a superb shot home from just inside the box. Then with minutes remaining a brillant Lauren Boles header gave Strand tyhe title.

Well done to all the players, managers and supporters on saturdays victory.
